Projects: from a requirement to volume production
Every project on this page started as something that did not exist yet. EMC designed the electronics, firmware, mechanics, test equipment and molds, and then produced it in volume. Customer names and details stay under NDA; the engineering behind them is ours to show.
Secure USB Token
The request: a compact USB dongle for secure cryptographic applications in telecom security, built to the customer’s exact specification.
What EMC designed:
- Electronics on a 10-layer, 6 × 1 cm PCB with impedance control, with a processor dedicated to cryptographic operations
- Integrated RAM and eMMC HS400 memory for fast, secure data processing, with AES data encryption
- Custom plastic case and injection mold
- An end-of-line (EOL) test machine, designed in-house to support high-volume production

Wireless Crypto Dongle
The request: a battery-powered wireless device that secures crypto data and connects to computers without cables or extra infrastructure, for applications with strict security requirements such as banking and finance.
What EMC designed:
- An embedded micro computer connecting over Bluetooth (BT 4.0), with an integrated battery for autonomous operation
- MicroSD and eMMC HS400 storage, secure boot and an AES-256 crypto engine, plus an elliptic-curve protocol for encrypted wireless transfers
- A fully custom, RED-certified antenna for strong wireless performance in a very small space
- A custom case and mold designed for high-volume production
Medical devices for cytometry
EMC designs and produces disaggregators for cytometry: SurgyBlue™, SyntMate™ and Handy Cytoprep™. From electronics and mechanics to assembly in our clean room, the devices are built to IEC 60601 and tested by a notified body. Read more
Industrial computers and the NovaPC line
NovaPC industrial computers combine a Novasom board with a display and the accessories each application needs: HMI, automation, healthcare, vending, infotainment and IoT. The same design-to-production chain is behind our Iron IP69K stainless-steel panel PCs and the Intel panel PCs built for 24/7 operation, validated in our thermal chamber at 70 °C.
Because we design what we build, we can still produce it years later: the same product, more than 10 years on.
